Car Configuration is a sub-module of the Pandora project that helps BMW's product managers configure vehicles to meet market demand based on previous years' sales, competitor trends, opinion intelligence, etc. Pandora is a Digtal Marketing tool that provides BMW's product managers with tools such as price comparison, market data analysis reports, social listening, and more to help them develop new vehicle configurations for the new year.
With the in-depth communication with customers and the gradual clarification of requirements, more and more functions are added, and the old solution cannot carry more functional requirements.
BMW's workflow was adjusted, and the original workflow of configuring Package and Car was merged, so that the product manager could configure the package while configuring the vehicle.
The layout is crowded and there are many unnecessary space which makes the operable area too small.
Features were not well organized. It was difficult for users to navigate between different features since these features lack connections.

The goal of this redesign is to enable PM to create and browse configuration files easily and efficiently. In addition, the extendibility of the UI should be enhanced for future requirement changes
